This is a small boat trip that leaves before dawn, so you are already on the Tagus when the sun comes up over Lisbon. It runs every day for up to six people, with a coffee to warm your hands while the city is still asleep and the river is at its calmest.
Why so early The light is the whole reason. For about twenty minutes the river turns gold, the monuments catch the first sun, and there is almost nobody else on the water. By the time Lisbon wakes up, you are back at the dock with the best part of the day already behind you.
A boat, not a tour bus We keep it to six. Departure follows the sun, so the exact time shifts through the year (around 6:11 in midsummer, later in winter). Book at least 24 hours ahead and we confirm the sunrise time with you.
