Our licensed skipper aboard the boat in Lisbon
Who We Are

Lisbon, brought to the surface.

Meet Our Story
“What rises from the deep becomes visible at the surface. That’s how we sail: surfacing the Lisbon you can’t see from land.”
Mission

Built for Six. Never More.

Lisbon's waterfront runs on one rhythm: load fifty strangers, push off the dock, get back before sunset. We don't run on that rhythm. The Basilisco sails with a maximum of six guests, guided by a skipper and deckhand who know the river by name.

We sail this way because the Tagus deserves it. It's the largest estuary in Western Europe, over 320 square kilometres of water, marshland, and coastline that most tour boats never reach. From a crowded ferry, you see Lisbon's postcard. From a small boat with six people on board, you see what the postcard left out.

What We Stand For

Four principles. Every voyage.

  1. Privacy

We keep groups small, never more than six. Want the boat to yourselves? Book it as a private charter.

  2. Intimacy

No more than six guests. Big enough to feel like a gathering, small enough to feel like your own boat.

  3. Knowledge

A licensed skipper and deckhand who know these waters. Not a script, a river they live on.

  4. Authenticity

Lisbon beyond the postcard. The coastline and quiet inlets the ferries and tour boats never reach.
